We connect US homeowners who want roofing or solar quotes with local contractors. We're hiring a confident, friendly cold caller to phone roofing and solar contractors in California and offer them 10 free, phone-verified leads to try — no payment, no commitment. This is an easier outbound role than most: you're not hard-selling anything. You're calling business owners to hand them free, real leads in their own city. Your job is to reach the owner, confirm they're taking on new work, and get them to say "yes, send me the free leads." We provide everything you need. What you'll do: • Call roofing/solar contractors from a prepared list (US Pacific business hours) • Follow our proven script and offer the free-lead trial • Confirm the contractor is taking new work and can call leads back fast • Capture their service-area ZIP codes and log call outcomes in our sheet • Handle common objections (we give you the rebuttals) What we provide: • A ready-to-use dialer with a local US number (you just log in — no setup, no cost to you) • A tested call script + objection-handling guide • A prioritized call list (verified owner names + direct numbers) You're a great fit if you have: • Excellent spoken English with a clear, neutral, easy-to-understand accent (this is the #1 requirement) • Experience with US B2B / outbound / cold calling (home services a big plus) • A quiet workspace, reliable internet, and a good headset • A friendly, persistent personality — comfortable hearing "no" and moving on • Availability during US Pacific business hours Compensation: • $6–10/hour base (depending on experience) — guaranteed for every hour worked • Plus a $50–$100 bonus for each contractor who becomes a paying customer • Weekly payments via Upwork Quality bar on every call: reach the owner/decision-maker, confirm they're taking new roofing work, get a verbal commitment to call leads back within ~10–15 minutes, and capture their service-area ZIPs and best delivery cell. Calls are recorded; we coach from them. Hours & Commitment: • ~5 hours/day to start, US Pacific business hours (mornings/early afternoon convert best) • Ongoing role with room to grow into more hours / a lead role if it's a good fit • Start with a paid 10-hour trial so we both confirm it's a match To Apply (please follow these — applications that skip them are ignored): 1. Record a 60–90 second voice sample (Vocaroo link or attached audio) with TWO parts, as if you're on a real call: - Part A, the opener: "Hi, is [Owner] around? I'm calling because we've got homeowners right here in San Diego who asked for roofing quotes this week, and I want to hand you 10 of them free to test the quality." - Part B, handle a "no": the contractor replies "I'm not interested." Respond in your own words, in a friendly, natural way, and try to keep the conversation going. 2. Briefly describe your US cold-calling / B2B experience and any home-services experience. 3. Tell us your available hours in US Pacific time. 4. Start your reply with the word "ROOFTOP" so we know you read this. We review voice samples first — a clear, confident phone voice and calm reaction to a "no" matter more than a long résumé. Selection Process: 1. Voice sample (above) — we shortlist on tone, clarity, and how you handle the "not interested." 2. Paid 10-hour trial on real calls — we both confirm it's a fit before an ongoing role.
