PCB Design Modification Required – Replace 27-Pin Molex Connector

We are looking for an experienced PCB Design Engineer to make a minor modification to an existing interface PCB used in our 2-inch thermal panel printer. Scope of Work - Replace the existing 27-pin Molex FFC/FPC connector (Molex Part No. 52030-2729) with a suitable alternative that is readily available in the market. - Review the PCB and recommend the best compatible replacement connector. - Modify the PCB layout as required while maintaining the existing functionality and mechanical fit. - Ensure the new connector is electrically and mechanically compatible with the current design. - Deliver production-ready PCB files. Deliverables - Updated schematic (if required). - Modified PCB layout. - Gerber files. - Updated BOM with the new connector details. - Source design files (Altium/KiCad/Eagle or equivalent). Requirements - Experience in PCB modifications and FFC/FPC connector selection. - Knowledge of Molex and equivalent connectors from manufacturers such as JST, Hirose, TE Connectivity, Amphenol, etc. - Ability to suggest a connector that is readily available for long-term sourcing.
