PCB Design Review and Improvement
Worldwide
I have a four-layer, 195 × 58 mm board that's DRC-clean and ready to send to JLCPCB. Before I pay for fabrication and assembly, I want an experienced engineer to tell me what's wrong with it. Everything is public and open source licensed: https://github.com/dephekt/dosing-pump-hardware The schematic and PCB are generated from a Python model, and that model was written largely by Opus 5 with me directing it as a software engineer. ERC, DRC, schematic/PCB parity, and BOM resolution all pass. What hasn't happened is a human checking whether the circuit is actually correct. That's the job. The board carries: - four Atlas Scientific EZO-PMP pumps - 12 V input with fuse, P-channel reverse-polarity FET, and TVS - LMR16020 buck to 5 V - AP2112K LDO for a 3.3 V pump rail - TCA9548A I2C mux - ESP32-S3 Feather on a socket Review scope: circuit correctness (especially the input protection and the buck), layout and thermals, and the JLCPCB fab package including two custom footprints. One "known unknown" worth noting: ten of the 57 placements need CPL rotation corrections. Nine come from a community database. The tenth: U1, LMR16020 in TI's SO PowerPAD-8, I inferred by analogy and could not source. If your review identifies any findings, then you can address them in Kicad however makes sense and update the schematic diagrams, BOM etc. accordingly. Ideally, you would push any changes as a PR on my Github.
