Part-Time System Administrator – Church Streaming & Network Services

We are a small team that provides audio and video streaming services to churches across North America. We are looking for a reliable System Administrator to join us on a part-time basis, primarily covering a share of Sunday morning shifts (North American time zones), with additional system management work during other hours as available. Role Overview You will monitor our streaming networks, support live operations during services, and provide excellent customer service by assisting churches with troubleshooting connectivity and technical issues. The role focuses on Sunday mornings but also includes general network and streaming system management tasks when you’re available. This is an ongoing part-time position ideal for someone with strong technical and customer service skills who enjoys supporting faith communities. Key Responsibilities Monitor streaming networks and infrastructure during assigned Sunday morning shifts. Deliver real-time customer support and troubleshooting for connectivity issues, audio/video streams, and network problems. Assist with remote diagnostics, ongoing maintenance, and optimization of streaming systems. Perform network monitoring, system administration, and maintenance tasks during other hours as availability allows. Provide clear, patient, and professional customer service to church teams. Document incidents and work with our small team to improve reliability and support processes. Requirements Strong technical skills in networking, streaming protocols, and remote troubleshooting. Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Fluent English – both verbal and written (essential for assisting English-speaking church teams). Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable workspace for remote work. Ability to work independently during early Sunday hours (North American time zones). Calm, patient, and solution-focused approach under time pressure. Highly Valued Skills (Big Advantage) Experience with Icecast (or Shoutcast) streaming servers. Background in live streaming, broadcast IT, or network operations. Familiarity with network monitoring tools and diagnostics.
