Here is an Upwork-ready job description: # Director of Revenue Partnerships / Sponsorship Sales We are looking for a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional to help grow revenue across Ramon Ray’s speaking, media, events, and business community. Ramon Ray is a 5x entrepreneur, 5x author, keynote speaker, event host, and small-business expert. He has built and sold companies, speaks at major events, hosts The Rundown with Ramon Show, and leads curated entrepreneur experiences such as Genius Talks Mastermind. This is a fractional contractor role for someone who can consistently identify opportunities, build relationships, follow up well, and help close sponsorships, speaking engagements, event partnerships, and media opportunities. ## What You Will Help Sell You will help create and close revenue opportunities across several areas: * Ramon Ray as a keynote speaker and event host, typically ranging from $10,000 to $25,000 per engagement * Sponsorships for The Rundown with Ramon Show * Sponsored articles, content campaigns, and brand partnerships on ZoneofGenius.com * Sponsorships for Genius Talks Mastermind and other curated entrepreneur events * Bundled partnership packages that may include speaking, events, content, podcast/video, email, social media, and community exposure * Other strategic media, brand, and partnership opportunities as they arise ## What You Will Do * Work existing leads, past clients, sponsors, and relationships already in Ramon’s network * Identify and research new prospects through LinkedIn, referrals, event attendee lists, agencies, brand research, and other channels * Build targeted prospect lists and add qualified leads into Ramon’s CRM * Conduct outreach through LinkedIn, email, phone, and follow-up sequences * Book qualified sales calls and partnership conversations * Lead discovery calls when appropriate and bring Ramon into conversations where his involvement will help move the opportunity forward * Help develop compelling sponsorship packages, proposals, and pitch materials * Follow up consistently with prospects until there is a clear yes, no, or next step * Track all activity, notes, opportunities, and follow-up tasks in the CRM * Help coordinate the handoff of closed sponsors to ensure they receive what was promised * Seek renewals, upsells, and long-term annual partnerships from successful sponsors ## What We Are Looking For * Experience in sponsorship sales, media sales, event sales, partnerships, business development, speaking bureau sales, or agency sales * Comfortable selling both smaller sponsorships and larger annual partnership opportunities * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Comfortable reaching out to senior decision-makers, including founders, marketing leaders, brand managers, agencies, and event organizers * Strong LinkedIn prospecting and relationship-building skills * Organized, persistent, and excellent at follow-up * Experience using a CRM and maintaining accurate sales records * Able to work independently, create momentum, and bring ideas—not just wait for leads to be handed to you * Professional, positive, and aligned with a relationship-first sales approach ## Nice to Have * Experience selling sponsorships for events, media companies, podcasts, newsletters, communities, or creator brands * Existing relationships with agencies, corporate marketing teams, event organizers, or small-business-focused brands * Experience selling keynote speakers, event hosts, or talent * Experience packaging multiple media and event assets into a larger sponsorship proposal ## Compensation This is a fractional contractor role with a monthly retainer plus commission on closed revenue. Compensation will be based on experience, proven results, and ability to generate and close opportunities.
