Patent Application Strategy Advice
Worldwide
I have prepared a draft non-provisional U.S. utility patent application for a mechanical/consumer product involving transformable furniture and an entertainment/arcade system. I have completed the written specification, claims, and patent drawings to the best of my ability, and I am looking for a U.S.-registered patent attorney or patent agent to review the application before filing. This is not a request to draft the application from scratch. I need an experienced patent professional to review what I have prepared, identify weaknesses, improve the strategy, and advise whether the application is ready to file with the USPTO. Scope of Work The project includes: Review the draft non-provisional patent application Specification Claims Drawings Figure descriptions Reference numbers General formatting and USPTO filing readiness Review and improve claim strategy Evaluate whether the independent claims are too broad, too narrow, or strategically weak Review dependent claims for useful fallback protection Advise on whether multiple independent claims are appropriate Help protect the core invention and secondary inventive features Conduct or verify a prior-art search Review my own preliminary patent search Conduct an independent search for relevant prior art Identify the closest references Advise how the claims should be adjusted in view of the prior art Provide strategic filing advice Evaluate patentability risks Identify possible obviousness or novelty issues Suggest claim amendments or additional claim coverage Advise whether the application is ready to file or needs additional work Optional filing assistance If appropriate, assist with final formatting and USPTO filing Help ensure the application properly claims priority to the provisional application, if applicable Deliverables Please provide: A written review memo or marked-up application Comments on claim strength and claim strategy Summary of any relevant prior art found Recommended claim revisions, if needed Filing-readiness checklist Estimate for any additional work needed before filing Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is: A U.S.-registered patent attorney or patent agent Experienced with utility patent applications Comfortable with mechanical inventions, furniture mechanisms, consumer products, gaming/arcade devices, or transformable products Strong at claim strategy, not just formatting Able to give practical, direct feedback Notes I am looking for a strategic review, not just proofreading. I want to understand whether the application is strong enough to file, where it may be vulnerable, and how to improve the claims before submission. Please include examples of relevant patent work, your USPTO registration status, your estimated timeline, and whether you can perform a prior-art search as part of the review.
