Personal CFO — Finance System Quarterback

I'm an American entrepreneur based in Amsterdam running two companies — a venture-backed consumer startup and a lifestyle/events brand. I travel constantly, operate across U.S. and Dutch jurisdictions, and my job is high-leverage decisions. I have specialists in place: a U.S. CPA and a Dutch tax advisor. I don't need more experts. I need someone to run the system around them — coordinating inputs, tracking outputs, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. This role exists to free up my time and attention. You own the finance operating system so I don't have to. The role Monthly (30 minutes of my time): Deliver a one-page dashboard — cash position, reserve status, spending vs. plan, any flags. I review, decide, move on. Quarterly (60–90 minutes): Run a structured review. Spending, tax reserves, compensation, net worth, upcoming major expenses. You prepare everything. I leave with no more than 3–5 decisions. Ongoing: Coordinate with my U.S. CPA, Dutch tax advisor, and bookkeeper. Make sure deadlines are met, documents are gathered, and I'm never surprised by a tax bill or a gap in records. What I'm looking for     •    Experience supporting founders or executives — you understand how this type of person thinks and what they actually need     •    Systems builder — you don't just respond to requests, you build and maintain the infrastructure     •    Cross-border familiarity — you don't need to be the expert, but you need to know how to manage experts across U.S. and EU jurisdictions     •    Proactive communicator — you surface issues before I ask     •    Low-friction — the whole point is that this takes as little of my time as possible Engagement Part-time, ongoing. Estimated 3–5 hours/month with seasonal spikes around tax deadlines and quarterly reviews. Treat this like a small business engagement — because that's exactly what it is.
