Podcast Clip Editor for The BrewedAt Podcast
Worldwide
The BrewedAt Podcast is a long-running show, 120+ episodes, covering the craft beverage industry: breweries, bars, distilleries, and the people behind them. Our whole brand is built on the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey beverage scene, with a handful of out of town guests. We film in person, multi-camera, and publish a full video version, an audio version, and short-form clips every week. This role is the clips. You will not be cutting from raw footage, and you will not be guessing what to cut. Every episode arrives as a finished Premiere Pro project: two color-ready 1080 ProRes angles already synced and switched with AutoPod, enhanced audio, our look baked in. And every clip arrives as a written brief: the exact hook line in quotes, some timestamps the story runs between. The story decisions are made before the project reaches you. Your job is to execute them cleanly and make the clip visual. Important: this is a visual storytelling role, not a trim-and-caption role. The job is the layer on top of the conversation: pop-in graphics of every brand, team, and venue named on the audio, real imagery of what is being discussed, sound design, and motion. A clip that is only talking heads is not finished. Please only apply if building that layer is the part of editing you are best at. What you will do: - Cut two short-form vertical clips per week (45-60 seconds, 75 seconds is a hard ceiling) from the delivered Premiere project, following the written brief exactly. - Build the visual layer: a pop-in for every named brand, team, and venue, imagery of what is being discussed, sound effects and motion on the beats (no AI images) - Open every clip on the guest with a clean, static 3-second hold on the hook line - effects and motion come after the open - Caption in our one-word house style, with every brand and person name verified before it renders - Pull b-roll from an approved list: the guest's own product and footage, our footage and archive, and the specific Philly places being discussed - never competitor products, never generic stock - Deliver the final export plus the Premiere project file for every clip into our shared Drive, named to our convention Requirements: - Proven short-form vertical editing in Premiere Pro with a real pop-in and graphics layer - include 2-3 clips you cut that show it - You follow a written brief precisely, and when it says cut a section entirely, you cut it entirely - You check what things are before you put them on screen - if a brand, or a name is in your cut, you know what it is, captions spelled right are very very important. - Reliable turnaround and responsive communication - Comfortable opening a Mac-built Premiere project on your machine (relinking media is a normal part of the workflow, and we have a one-page guide for it) Nice to have: - Familiarity with AutoPod multicam projects - Sound design instincts: dings, whooshes, and pops that feel native to social - Knowledge of the Philadelphia and New Jersey scene, or the craft beverage world Structure and rate: - Per-clip rate, assigned one clip at a time to start - Two clips per week on a fixed cadence: Wednesday delivery posts Friday, Friday delivery posts Monday - Final means ready to post exactly as delivered: in spec on length, the visual layer, and captions - The first clip is a paid test against a real brief, and every clip is a paid trial before any ongoing commitment - For the right editor, this grows into ongoing recurring weekly volume alongside our episode editor
