Podcast Content Producer Needed for Clip Selection + Trailer Storyboarding
Worldwide
We’re looking for someone with strong editorial taste to help us turn long-form podcast episodes into strong trailers, short-form clips and YouTube packaging. This is not a video editing role. You will not be cutting footage, adding captions or editing in Premiere. Your job is to listen through podcast episodes, understand the strongest ideas, and help decide what should become: - A 60–90 second podcast trailer - Short-form clips for TikTok, Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn - Potential longer cutdowns when a topic has enough depth - Titles, hooks, descriptions, chapters and SEO packaging We need someone who understands story, retention and social media. A good clip is not just a random “interesting moment”. It needs a clear hook, tension, context, payoff and a reason for someone to keep watching. You should be comfortable working from transcripts and/or full podcast episodes, identifying the best moments, and explaining why they work. What you’ll do each week For each podcast episode, you’ll help create: - Trailer storyboard - Select the strongest moments and structure them into a compelling short trailer with timestamps, section flow and reasoning. - Short-form clip selections - Find the best 30–90 second moments that can stand alone as social clips. - Hook and title suggestions - Write clear, punchy hook text and title options that feel native to social media without being clickbait. - SEO and packaging support - Help with YouTube titles, descriptions, chapters and tags based on the episode content. Budget in the job post reflects 1 podcast episode, which there is a new podcast every week. What we’re looking for You’re probably a good fit if you: - Have a strong ear for storytelling - Understand what makes podcast moments work on social media - Can tell the difference between “interesting” and “actually clip-worthy” - Know how to build tension, curiosity and payoff - Can work with long-form content without getting lost in the weeds - Write in clear, direct English - Understand YouTube, TikTok, Reels or podcast growth - Care about structure, not just picking random viral-sounding moments Important: This is not a video editor role. We already have editing handled. We need someone who can help decide what should be edited in the first place. The right person should be able to look at a 60–120 minute podcast and confidently say: “This is the trailer.” “These are the strongest clips.” “This section is interesting, but it doesn’t resolve.” “This moment has a good hook but needs more context.” “This topic could work as a longer YouTube cutdown.” Please start your proposal with “flip” so I know you read the full post.
