Podcast Editor/Producer Needed for New Seafood Industry Podcast

We are exploring the launch of a new podcast focused on the seafood industry, fisheries, regulations, sustainability, the working waterfront, and the people behind the seafood supply chain. The podcast will be hosted by the CEO of a family-owned seafood business based in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Our goal is to create a thoughtful but conversational show that helps educate listeners, highlight industry voices, and position the host as a trusted thought leader in the seafood/fisheries space. At this stage, we are looking for an experienced podcast editor/producer who can help us understand the right workflow and potentially support the production of the show on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities may include: Advising on a simple remote recording setup Editing podcast audio and/or video recordings Cleaning up audio quality Removing awkward pauses, filler, mistakes, or technical issues Adding intro/outro music Creating final podcast files for publishing Creating short video clips for social media, including captions Formatting clips for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts Potentially helping with YouTube-ready full episode edits Offering recommendations on recording platforms, file handoff, and production workflow We are likely planning to record interviews remotely to start, using Zoom, Riverside, or a similar platform. Episodes will likely be conversational interviews around 45–60 minutes long. This is currently an exploratory project, so we are looking to connect with freelancers who can share their experience, process, estimated pricing, and examples of similar podcast work. Ideal experience: Podcast editing and/or podcast production experience Experience editing both audio and video podcasts Ability to create short social media clips from long-form episodes Strong ear for conversational pacing Ability to make episodes sound polished without making them feel overly produced Familiarity with podcast publishing workflows is a plus Experience with business, food, sustainability, agriculture, fisheries, or industry-focused podcasts is a plus, but not required To apply, please include: A brief overview of your podcast editing/production experience Examples of podcasts or clips you have edited Your typical workflow for a remote interview podcast Your estimated pricing for: Full audio episode editing Full video episode editing Short social clips from each episode Any recommendations you would make for a new podcast starting from scratch We are not ready to launch immediately, but we are gathering information and looking for the right person to potentially support this project as it develops.
