PR & Podcast Strategy Planner and Coordinator (20 hours/week)
Worldwide
About This Role Kingdom.com is preparing to launch a new ministry outreach initiative — full specifics to be shared with the selected candidate once they're on board. The premise: hard copy media ministry, the kind that once put millions of messages directly into people's hands every week, is being revived for today. There is a famine in the land for the Word of God — not because the Word isn't being preached, but because the personal handoff that used to carry it, person to person, has disappeared. We have the sword of the Spirit, and it's largely sitting unused. Our President, Johnny Berguson, tells this story well — he did so to strong effect in a podcast interview this week — and we need someone to turn that into a sustained presence: a clear message, a real list of venues worth pursuing, and the outreach to start landing them. What You'll Own: Message Strategy & Positioning Take the core narrative — hard copy media ministry, once thought dead, is being revived — and shape it into a tight, consistent story that flexes across formats: a two-minute podcast answer, a 1,200-word magazine feature, a one-paragraph pitch email. You'll write or co-write the magazine articles yourself and craft Podcast communications. Venue & Target Strategy Build and maintain a working list of outlets and shows worth pursuing — from major platforms in Johnny's history (the 700 Club, the former PTL Club, national Christian magazines) down to smaller podcasts and publications reaching pastors and church leaders today. Prioritize which tier to pursue first. Outreach & Booking Research the right contact at each target, write the pitch, send it, and follow up until you get a yes or a clear no. No existing media Rolodex is required — this is groundwork, not a relationship handoff. A track record from this phase is what would justify bringing in a relationship-based publicist later. What's Already Covered Interview prep: once an interview is booked, our catalog coordinator handles prepping Johnny for it. Owned-channel content: day-to-day posting across our social platforms is handled separately by a Social Media Coordinator. Who We're Looking For A strong writer who can adapt one core story to different formats and audiences without losing the thread. Comfortable with cold outreach — researching contacts, pitching, and following up without an existing relationship to lean on. Self-directed; this role gets limited day-to-day oversight and needs to manage its own pipeline of targets and follow-ups. Comfortable writing for a faith-based, church-leader audience, or able to pick up that voice quickly. Engagement Details: Hours: 20 hours/week Type: Contract Location: Remote To Apply: Please include writing samples that show range — ideally something persuasive/pitch-style and something longer-form. As part of screening, candidates may be asked to draft a short sample pitch for a specific target outlet. Must speak native English
