Polymer Design Engineer Required – Fluid Barrier Membrane Manufacturing Package

We require an experienced polymer or membrane engineer to develop a manufacturing specification and drawing package for a proprietary Fluid Barrier Membrane (FBM). The FBM is a replaceable fluid containment layer installed inside a pipeline Structural Liner system. It must provide long-term fluid containment, gas barrier performance and compatibility with future transported products. Scope: • Review supplied requirements. • Define membrane architecture and material selection. • Develop manufacturing methodology. • Produce manufacturing drawings. • Define inspection and QA/QC requirements. • Recommend improvements for performance and manufacturability. Deliverables: • Manufacturing Specification. • Material Specification. • Membrane Construction Specification. • Manufacturing Process Specification. • QA/QC Specification. • General Arrangement Drawings. • Cross-Section Drawings. • Bill of Materials. • Native CAD and PDF files. Key Requirements: • Gas containment. • Permeation resistance. • Vacuum capability. • Mechanical retention by CCS. • Replaceability. Required Experience: • Polymer engineering. • Barrier membrane systems. • Flexible containment products. • Gas transmission or pipeline products preferred. The final deliverable shall support prototype manufacture, testing and future production development.
