Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant: Records/billing department, Personal Injury

What you'll do: Review file to determine where client received medical treatment and enter those facilities into case management software. Send requests to those medical providers seeking copies of the bills and records related to treatment. Follow up with medical providers until bills and records are received. Upload the bills and records into the case management software Review the bills and records for important data such as billing amounts, dates of treatment, etc. and enter that data into the case management software. Once all bills and records received and entered, confirm treatment with client Set up claims with health insurance. Follow up with health insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, private heath insurance, Tricare, etc) to get balances paid and amount of subrogation owed. What you need: Ability to communicate effectively with English speaking clients and medical providers This position will begin as part-time and could develop into a full time position.
