Private Equity Associate

hiring a Private Equity Analyst / Associate to support sourcing, diligence, underwriting, and execution across lower-middle-market acquisition opportunities. This person will work directly with the investment team and operating partners to evaluate new deals, build financial models, conduct market and company diligence, prepare investment materials, and support portfolio value-creation work. [1:56 PM]This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants direct exposure to acquisitions, deal structuring, lender/investor conversations, and post-close operating initiatives. [1:56 PM]Responsibilities • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO models, operating forecasts, sources & uses, returns analysis, and sensitivity cases • Review CIMs, financial statements, QoE reports, customer data, cohort data, debt schedules, and operating KPIs • Prepare investment memos, IC materials, lender packages, investor decks, and diligence trackers • Conduct industry, market, competitor, customer, and regulatory research • Support deal sourcing by identifying targets, building buyer lists, tracking outreach, and maintaining CRM data • Coordinate diligence workstreams across finance, legal, tax, operations, commercial, technology, and compliance • Assist with transaction execution, including LOIs, data room review, lender materials, and closing checklists • Work with portfolio companies on KPI dashboards, reporting, growth initiatives, pricing, margin improvement, and add-on acquisition analysis • Track deal pipeline, valuation comps, precedent transactions, and financing market trends[1:56 PM]Qualifications • 1-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, corporate development, valuation, consulting, or a related finance role • Strong financial modeling skills, including three-statement modeling, LBO analysis, returns waterfalls, and sensitivity analysis • Ability to quickly analyze financial statements, identify key risks, and form a clear investment view • Strong writing skills with the ability to create concise memos, decks, and diligence summaries • High attention to detail, strong analytical judgment, and ability to manage multiple live workstreams • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial investment environment • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets and PowerPoint / Google Slides skills • Healthcare, consumer, business services, e-commerce, or lower-middle-market transaction experience is a plus[1:56 PM]What Success Looks Like • Builds accurate, investor-grade models with minimal oversight • Spots key diligence risks early and communicates them clearly • Turns messy company data into decision-ready analysis • Helps move deals from initial review through LOI, diligence, financing, and close • Supports portfolio companies with practical, measurable value-creation work
