Private-Sector Security RFP & Procurement Research Specialist

American Guard Services, Inc. (“AGS”) is seeking a detail-oriented research professional to identify private-sector contract security opportunities with large and mid-sized companies throughout the United States. This position is strictly focused on private enterprise and commercial opportunities. It does not include federal, state, county, municipal, educational, transit, public authority, or other government-related procurement opportunities. The selected contractor will research companies, procurement contacts, supplier registration processes, potential security-service RFPs, and future contract opportunities. The contractor will identify and document opportunities for AGS leadership to pursue. This is a research and opportunity-identification position. The contractor will not negotiate, present AGS services, submit proposals, quote pricing, or represent AGS in sales discussions. Primary Objective Develop a consistent pipeline of credible private-sector security opportunities by identifying: Companies that purchase outsourced security guard or related physical security services Corporate procurement and strategic sourcing contacts Corporate security, asset protection, loss prevention, facilities, real estate, and operations decision-makers Supplier registration and vendor onboarding portals Upcoming or recurring private-sector security RFPs, RFIs, and sourcing events Security contract renewal dates or estimated rebid periods Current security providers or incumbent vendors, when publicly available Conferences, supplier events, and private-industry procurement programs that could provide AGS with access to prospective clients Target Industries Research may include private-sector companies operating in: Retail and grocery Warehousing and distribution Logistics and transportation Manufacturing Commercial real estate Hospitality Healthcare companies and privately operated facilities Financial services Technology and data centers Entertainment and venues Corporate campuses Construction Property management Other industries that regularly purchase outsourced physical security services Excluded Opportunities The contractor must not research, submit, or include opportunities involving: Federal government agencies State government agencies Counties, cities, municipalities, or townships Public school districts Public colleges or universities Law enforcement agencies Transit authorities Port authorities or airport authorities Public utilities Military or defense agencies Government contractors seeking subcontractors for public contracts Public-sector bid portals Government grants, solicitations, or cooperative purchasing contracts Privately owned companies operating in regulated industries may be included, provided that the security contract is being procured directly by the private company and is not part of a government contract. Responsibilities The contractor will: Identify private companies that are likely to use outsourced security services Research each company’s size, locations, operational footprint, and potential security needs Identify the individuals responsible for procurement, strategic sourcing, security, asset protection, loss prevention, facilities, and vendor management Locate accurate business email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, titles, and other publicly available professional contact information Locate supplier registration, vendor onboarding, and procurement portal information Identify open, upcoming, recurring, or recently completed private-sector security RFPs and sourcing events Research potential contract expiration dates, renewal periods, and rebid cycles Identify incumbent security providers when reliable information is available Review corporate websites, procurement pages, press releases, job postings, LinkedIn activity, industry publications, and other credible sources Document the source and evidence for every opportunity Recommend a specific next step for AGS leadership Maintain all information in an AGS-approved spreadsheet, database, or CRM Provide a weekly summary of newly identified opportunities Required Deliverables Each researched opportunity should include as much of the following information as reasonably available: Company name Company website Industry Headquarters Number of locations or estimated operational footprint Geographic coverage Estimated relevance to AGS Type of security services potentially required Procurement contact name Procurement contact title Corporate security or operational contact name Contact email addresses LinkedIn profiles Supplier registration portal Vendor registration instructions RFP, RFI, or sourcing-event information Submission or registration deadline Current security provider, when verified Contract renewal date or estimated rebid period Source links Date the information was verified Recommended next action Opportunity confidence level: High, Medium, or Low Qualified Opportunity Standard A contact name by itself is not considered a qualified opportunity. A qualified opportunity should include: A private-sector company that plausibly uses outsourced physical security services. At least one relevant procurement, security, facilities, asset protection, or operational decision-maker. A supplier portal, sourcing process, active RFP, renewal indicator, vendor invitation process, or other credible path for AGS to pursue the account. Current evidence supporting the opportunity. A clear recommended next action for AGS. The contractor must prioritize accuracy and relevance over volume. Scope and Authority Limitations The contractor is not authorized to: Represent themselves as an AGS employee or executive Negotiate with prospective clients Discuss pricing, billing rates, margins, or contract terms Make commitments on behalf of AGS Submit an RFP response or proposal Sign vendor registration documents Provide insurance, licensing, financial, legal, or confidential company information Make claims about AGS capabilities without written approval Contact government agencies or research government opportunities Send mass or automated outreach using AGS’s name Contact prospective clients unless AGS provides specific written authorization and approved messaging AGS leadership will handle all external representation, qualification calls, capability presentations, pricing discussions, proposal submissions, and relationship management. Preferred Qualifications Experience in B2B market research, procurement research, enterprise lead research, strategic sourcing, or RFP research Experience researching Fortune 500, national, regional, or multi-location companies Familiarity with corporate procurement and vendor onboarding processes Ability to distinguish private-sector opportunities from government opportunities Strong online research and source-verification skills Experience using LinkedIn, corporate procurement portals, CRM platforms, and business intelligence tools Strong written English and attention to detail Ability to document research clearly and consistently Experience with contract security, facilities management, logistics, retail, or related industries is preferred Performance Expectations Initial expectations may include: Research 10 to 15 target companies per week Identify multiple relevant contacts for each qualified company Provide source-supported information for every opportunity Maintain complete and organized records Submit a weekly opportunity report Avoid duplicate, outdated, unverifiable, or government-related opportunities Achieve a high level of contact and data accuracy Performance will be evaluated based on the quality, accuracy, relevance, and actionability of the opportunities identified—not simply the number of contacts collected. Initial Engagement The engagement will begin as a 30-day pilot focused on selected private-sector industries and target companies. The initial assignment may include approximately 50 private companies across industries such as retail, logistics, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, and commercial real estate. Contractors who consistently produce credible and actionable opportunities may be considered for an ongoing engagement.
