Process Equipment CAD Designer — Shop Drawings for a Mini FCC Reactor (High-Temperature)

Posted 2 weeks ago

Worldwide

Summary

We have a **general arrangement drawing** of a mini catalytic cracking reactor (FCC). The unit operates at **high temperature (~520–560 °C)** and **low to moderate pressure (~10–30 psi, i.e. approximately ≤ 1–2 bar)** with hot catalyst, steam, and air. **The dominant design factor is high temperature, not pressure.** **The construction materials are already specified — material selection is not part of the scope.** We are looking for an **experienced static equipment / process equipment designer with FCC reactor experience** to turn this concept into a complete fabrication package ready for workshop manufacturing. **Scope of Work** * Produce **detailed workshop fabrication drawings** for each reactor subassembly (**riser, regenerator, etc.**). * Include all details required for fabrication and assembly — for example, and **non-exhaustively: flanges, sensors/instrumentation, valves, fittings, nozzles, welds, supports, tolerances, bill of materials (BOM), etc.** * **Identify and flag any missing elements in the conceptual design.** You are expected to infer what is required for a complete fabrication package — not simply replicate what is shown. **Required Skills and Experience** * **Mechanical detailing of static/process equipment for FCC reactors** — this is the top priority. * Codes/standards (design and fabrication references): **ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1** (since pressure is low/borderline, this is good engineering practice rather than a strict requirement), **ASME B16.5/B16.47** (flanges), **ASME B31.3** (piping), ISO 2553 / AWS A2.4 (welding), GD&T (ASME Y14.5 / ISO 1101). * CAD: **AutoCAD (2D)**, SolidWorks/Inventor; PV Elite and/or Autodesk Plant 3D / AVEVA E3D are a plus. * Strong knowledge of FCC reactor internals is highly desirable. **Provided documents:** the conceptual reactor layout, supporting process documents (P&ID, instrument references), and the **pre-specified construction materials**. **Deliverables:** fully dimensioned fabrication drawings per subassembly, weld details, bill of materials (BOM using supplied materials), and a general arrangement drawing (DWG + PDF).
