Product Design Engineer (Plastics / Manufacturing / DFM)

We are developing an insulated box for food delivery. We’re looking for an experienced Product / Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in plastic product development and manufacturing to support product development. Scope of work: - Review product concept and advise on the best manufacturing approach - Develop production-ready 3D CAD - Design for manufacturability, structural strength, assembly, durability, and outdoor use - Optimize product architecture, wall design, hinges, closures, sealing, and internal space efficiency - Advise on material selection, prototyping, and production strategy Requirements: - Strong experience in plastic product design and manufacturing - Proven work with enclosures, coolers, cases, automotive/appliance housings, or similar products - Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, NX, or similar - Understanding of tooling, production constraints, material behavior, and cost optimization - Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively To apply, please share: - Relevant products you’ve designed - CAD software you use - Experience taking plastic products from concept to production - Your hourly rate or project pricing Bonus if you have experience with insulated products, outdoor products, or delivery/logistics equipment.
