Product Development & Sourcing Specialist — Apparel (Chinese speaker)

I am looking for someone who can help me IMPROVE AN EXISTING PRODUCT and work with factories on quality. If product development is not clearly in your CV or your track record, this is not the right fit. — ABOUT US We are a fast-growing US-focused apparel brand. We have scaled on the marketing side and now need someone to own the product side, so the founder can stay focused on growth. We currently sell a generic product. We want to turn it into our own branded product with real quality. — MY PRIORITY — PRODUCT WORK 1. PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT (most important) Be my technical voice with factories. Work with them on quality upgrades: fabric weight, better materials, hardware, new materials such as satin lining, new colorways. I have a tech pack ready to share. 2. FACTORY SOURCING Find and vet real manufacturers, not trading companies. Compare quotations, MOQs, lead times, sample costs. 3. BRANDING AND PACKAGING Custom woven labels, hang tags, packaging development. 4. SAMPLE MANAGEMENT Receive samples in China, examine them yourself, and report back to me with your assessment. I want to avoid endless back and forth. — SECONDARY — SUPPLY CHAIN Once the product side is solid, I would also like help on logistics: Benchmark two or three fulfillment partners against my current one Ongoing coordination between factory and fulfillment partner Negotiating pricing and terms This is secondary. Product comes first. — MUST HAVE Fluent Chinese and English Proven product development experience in apparel or accessories Ability to discuss fabric specs and construction with factories Experience distinguishing real manufacturers from trading companies Experience managing samples through to bulk production Transparent, detail-oriented, responsive communication — HOW WE START One paid first cycle: sourcing plus sample management.
