Product / Industrial Designer for Premium, Minimalist Dog Accessory Line

We are a new Sydney-based, high-end pet lifestyle brand focused on "quiet luxury", functional elegance, and minimalist aesthetics. We are currently seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Industrial / Product Designer to design our launch collection from the ground up. This project requires a designer who can seamlessly blend beautiful, understated design with high durability, premium materials, and technical functionality. Project Scope: You will be responsible for creating the technical designs and production-ready files for: Soft Goods (Textiles & Synthetics): A body harness, a classic leash, a versatile hands-free leash, and a compact treat/poop bag pouch. Hard Goods (Rigid Materials & Metals): Custom metal hardware (including proprietary buckles and adjustment rings) and a small, modular attachment piece/charm for the collars. (Note: Exact aesthetic references, mood boards, and functional requirements will be shared with selected candidates under NDA). Required Skills & Experience: We are looking for a professional with the following qualifications: Background in Soft Goods Design: Proven experience designing bags, backpacks, outdoor gear, fashion accessories, or premium pet gear (understanding seams, fabric tension, and ergonomics). Advanced 3D CAD Modeling: Ability to design custom functional hardware, clasp mechanisms, and secure interlocking parts. Material & Manufacturing Expertise: Deep knowledge of waterproof/stain-resistant synthetic materials (such as TPU/PVC coated webbing), high-quality metals (solid brass, stainless steel), and lightweight alloys. Factory-Ready Deliverables: You must be able to provide comprehensive, factory-ready Tech Packs (including Bill of Materials (BOM), exact technical specifications, dimensions, and Pantone/colorways) alongside 3D CAD files (STEP/IGES) for mold-making. Quiet Luxury Aesthetic Alignment: A portfolio that showcases clean lines, sophisticated minimalism, and premium product finishes. Budget & Pricing: This is a fixed-price project. We are open to negotiating the budget based on your experience, portfolio quality, and estimated timeline for a project of this scale.
