Timezone: PST Hours with some internal meetings during CST Hours. About the Role The Project Manager is responsible for full lifecycle implementation leadership across Tyler ERP engagements. This role directly impacts project profitability, delivery quality, and long-term client partnership value. The Project Manager owns scope, schedule, risk, communication cadence, and stakeholder alignment throughout the implementation lifecycle. This includes leading cross-functional teams, coordinating internal and external resources, ensuring adherence to implementation methodology, and maintaining transparency with executive stakeholders. Success in this role requires strong governance discipline, structured documentation practices, confident client-facing communication, and the ability to proactively manage risks before they impact timelines or budgets. Experience in public-sector ERP implementations, municipal systems, or government enterprise environments is highly preferred. Your Mission As a Project Manager, you will: • Lead ERP implementation projects from discovery through go-live and stabilization • Establish clear project governance structures and communication rhythms • Protect delivery timelines, scope boundaries, and financial targets • Ensure seamless handoff between internal teams and client stakeholders • Create a structured and predictable implementation experience for public-sector clients You will serve as the central point of accountability for delivery execution and project health. This role is remote and may require approximately 25%–50% travel depending on client needs. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Governance • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and governance documentation • Manage project scope, milestones, resource allocation, and dependencies • Measure and report project performance using appropriate PM tools and dashboards • Facilitate executive-level status updates and client steering committee meetings • Maintain comprehensive documentation including meeting notes, status reports, change logs, and decision tracking Delivery Execution & Risk Management • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Functional, Technical, and Change Management resources • Lead risk identification and mitigation planning to prevent timeline and budget impact • Ensure structured testing phases (SIT, UAT) and readiness for go-live • Coordinate production releases and oversee transition to post-go-live stabilization • Escalate risks and scope deviations appropriately and proactively Scope & Financial Control • Support margin protection through scope control and disciplined change management • Ensure all deliverables are aligned with contractual commitments and implementation standards • Track and report budget performance throughout the engagement lifecycle Client & Stakeholder Engagement • Lead client-facing communications, steering committee presentations, and executive briefings • Build trusted advisor relationships with client project sponsors and department leads • Adapt communication style and frequency to diverse multi-cultural client environments Expected Outcomes Success in this role includes: • On-time, within-scope delivery of ERP implementation projects with high client satisfaction • Proactive risk management that prevents timeline or budget impact • Clear and consistent communication across all project stakeholders • Well-documented governance artifacts enabling continuity and auditability • Positive client relationship outcomes supporting long-term partnership value Qualifications Required Experience • Demonstrated experience leading full lifecycle ERP or enterprise technology implementation projects • Experience in public-sector, municipal, or government enterprise environments is highly preferred • Proven ability to manage scope, budget, and stakeholder relationships across complex, multi-vendor engagements Technical / Functional Skills • Strong command of ERP implementation lifecycle methodology • Proficiency with project management tools and dashboards (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or equivalent) • Experience with structured testing phases (SIT, UAT) and go-live readiness processes • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and collaboration platforms Professional Skills • Executive-level communication and stakeholder management capability • Disciplined project governance, documentation rigor, and structured decision-making • Ability to balance client satisfaction with scope control and delivery discipline • Adaptability within dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-cultural client environments • Strong leadership with accountability and professionalism in all engagements Preferred Qualifications • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent • Experience with Tyler Technologies ERP platforms (Munis, New World, or equivalent municipal ERP) • Agile / Scrum certification or demonstrated experience applying Agile methodologies within hybrid ERP implementation frameworks • Familiarity with change management frameworks (Prosci ADKAR or equivalent) • Public-sector or government IT program management background
