Summary

We are looking for a proactive Technical Project Manager / Scrum Lead to help manage our developers, freelancers, website tasks, and daily progress across multiple e-commerce websites. We currently manage around 10–15 websites, and in the future this may grow to 30–50 websites. Because of this, we need someone who can help us create structure, divide work correctly, follow up with developers, check productivity, manage questions, and make sure the right tasks are being worked on. Most of our development work is related to Magento 2 and Hyvä. You do not need to be the main developer, but you must understand Magento/Hyvä development well enough to manage developers, understand technical blockers, ask the right questions, check whether tasks are realistic, and know when something should be escalated. This is not a general marketing project manager role. We need someone who has managed technical website developers before, preferably Magento 2 / Hyvä developers. Main responsibilities: * Manage developers, freelancers, and website-related tasks * Monitor daily progress and make sure people are working on the right priorities * Check productivity using Hubstaff or similar work tracking tools * Review whether tracked time matches useful output * Divide work between developers in a logical and efficient way * Collect questions from developers, designers, content people, and other team members * Answer questions where possible * Escalate technical questions to Bogdan, our main IT person, when needed * Escalate business, priority, or budget questions to the owners when needed * Make sure developers are not blocked for too long * Make sure tasks are clearly described before developers start working * Challenge vague updates like “working on it” and ask for clear status, blockers, ETA, and next steps * Keep everyone aligned on what needs to be done * Make sure urgent issues are handled quickly * Create daily or weekly progress reports * Help build better systems and processes for managing many websites Important technical context: Most of the work will involve Magento 2, Hyvä, performance improvements, bug fixing, frontend changes, backend tasks, checkout issues, theme work, extensions, deployments, and general e-commerce website improvements. You should understand the difference between frontend, backend, theme, performance, checkout, extension, deployment, and bug-fixing tasks. You do not need to write the code yourself, but you should understand developer updates well enough to know whether progress makes sense. Future goal: We now have around 10–15 websites, but we want to prepare for managing 30–50 websites in the future. We need someone who can think ahead and help us create scalable workflows, documentation, checklists, reporting systems, task structures, and management processes. The goal is to make sure we can grow without everything becoming chaotic. The ideal candidate: * Has experience managing developers or technical freelancers * Has experience with e-commerce website projects * Ideally has managed Magento 2, Hyvä, or similar development projects * Understands website development well enough to manage technical tasks * Can use Hubstaff or similar tools to check productivity * Is organized, strict when needed, and good at follow-up * Can identify blockers and unclear tasks quickly * Can ask developers the right questions * Can communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical people * Can separate urgent issues from lower-priority tasks * Can create structure where things are currently messy * Is proactive and does not wait for every small instruction * Is reliable, direct, and focused on results Tools or experience that are a plus: * Hubstaff * ClickUp, Jira, Trello, Asana, Monday, Notion, or similar tools * Magento 2 * Hyvä * E-commerce websites * Agile / Scrum workflows * Google Sheets, Google Docs, Slack, Google Meet * Working with remote developers and freelancers * Creating SOPs, checklists, workflows, and reporting systems Daily expectations: Each working day, we expect a clear update with: * What each developer worked on * Whether the work matched the assigned priorities * Whether tracked time seems reasonable compared to output * Which tasks were completed * Which tasks are still open * Which developers are blocked * Which questions need Bogdan * Which questions need the owners * Any concerns about productivity, task quality, or planning * Recommendations to improve workflow or task division We are looking for someone long-term. The right person should become the central point between developers, Bogdan, and the owners. Your job is to make sure work is clear, progress is visible, developers are productive, questions are answered or escalated, and our website operation becomes more structured as we grow. To apply, please answer these questions: 1. Have you managed Magento 2 or Hyvä developers before? If yes, what kind of tasks did you manage? 2. What experience do you have managing developers or technical freelancers? 3. Have you used Hubstaff or another work tracking tool before? 4. How would you check if a developer is using their time productively? 5. How would you manage priorities across 10–15 websites? 6. What structure would you create if we grow to 30–50 websites? 7. Which project management tools do you prefer and why? 8. How technical are you? Can you understand Magento/Hyvä development tasks? 9. How would you handle a developer asking a question you cannot answer? 10. Are you available for long-term cooperation? Please start your proposal with the word “Hyvä-Scrum” so we know you read the full job post.
