Property Management Bookkeeper

I manage a portfolio of residential and commercial properties and are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records using AppFolio. Accuracy, accountability, and efficiency are non-negotiable. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor and tenant transactions. 2. Reconcile bank statements, trust accounts, and general ledgers regularly. 3. Prepare monthly financial statements, reports, and budgets. 4. Process owner distributions and track property-specific expenses. 5. Maintain accurate records in AppFolio, including journal entries and tenant ledgers. 6. Assist with audits and tax preparation as needed. 7. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. Requirements: Proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in property management. Strong proficiency in AppFolio (experience is mandatory). Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred). Ability to handle multiple properties and complex transactions without errors. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software in addition to AppFolio.
