# Experienced Government Technical Proposal Writer We are seeking an experienced **government technical proposal writer** to support our company in developing competitive, compliant, and persuasive responses to federal, state, and local government solicitations. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated history of contributing to **winning government proposals** and a proven methodology for managing the proposal-development process from solicitation review through final submission. Experience writing proposals for security services, professional services, technology, cybersecurity, defense, or federal contracting is strongly preferred. ## Responsibilities * Review RFPs, RFQs, RFSQs, Sources Sought notices, and other government solicitations. * Analyze solicitation requirements, evaluation criteria, instructions, and compliance obligations. * Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, writing plans, and submission schedules. * Write clear and compelling technical approaches, management plans, staffing plans, transition plans, past-performance narratives, and executive summaries. * Translate operational and technical information into persuasive, evaluator-focused proposal content. * Coordinate with company leadership and subject-matter experts to gather required information. * Identify proposal weaknesses, compliance risks, and information gaps. * Edit and strengthen existing content for clarity, consistency, responsiveness, and win probability. * Ensure final proposals are complete, compliant, professionally formatted, and submitted on time. * Help develop reusable proposal templates, content libraries, and standard operating procedures. ## Required Qualifications * Proven experience writing government proposals that resulted in contract awards, shortlisting, or other measurable success. * Strong understanding of government procurement and solicitation response requirements. * Experience using a structured proposal methodology, such as Shipley or a comparable process. * Ability to create and manage compliance matrices, proposal schedules, outlines, and color-team reviews. * Excellent technical writing, editing, research, organization, and project-management skills. * Ability to work independently, meet strict deadlines, and manage multiple proposal sections. * Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow solicitation instructions precisely. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive business information. ## Preferred Experience * Federal contracting, including SAM.gov opportunities. * Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, GSA, FPS, USMS, TSA, or other government agencies. * Security guard services, protective services, cybersecurity, information technology, defense, or professional-services proposals. * Small-business, SDVOSB, veteran-owned, or subcontracting opportunities. * Proposal-management platforms and Microsoft Word formatting. ## Application Requirements Please include the following with your application: 1.
