Purchasing/Procurement Specialist for Food FMCG

We need someone with experience sourcing dry food ingredients such as fruit powders, spice powders, cereal toppings, granola/crunch inclusions, freeze-dried or dehydrated fruits, and similar ingredients used in breakfast, snack, bakery, or CPG products. Initial ingredients we want to source include apple powder, cinnamon powder, cereal-style toppings, fruit pieces/powders, and other dry toppings that can be added to overnight oats. Responsibilities: Identify reliable suppliers and manufacturers for food-grade dry ingredients Source samples and compare quality, pricing, MOQ, lead times, and certifications Help us understand the right ingredient terminology and supplier categories Recommend suitable ingredient options for taste, texture, shelf life, and cost Support supplier outreach, quotes, and purchasing decisions Ideal candidate: Has experience in food ingredient sourcing, procurement, or purchasing Has existing supplier relationships in dry food ingredients, bakery, cereal, snack, or CPG ingredients Understands food-grade requirements, COAs/spec sheets, allergens, certifications, and MOQs Can move quickly and give practical supplier recommendations Please include examples of similar food ingredients you have sourced before and any supplier categories or regions you specialize in.
