QuickBooks Online Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Virtual Assistant with strong QuickBooks Online skills to support a one-time project for Salem Packages. In this role, you’ll work directly with the owner to complete bookkeeping and accounting tasks, ensuring all financial records are accurate, up to date, and well organized. Scope: Review and clean up existing QuickBooks Online records Categorize and reconcile transactions Ensure chart of accounts is properly structured Generate and review key financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) Identify and correct any bookkeeping errors or inconsistencies QUICKBOOKS ONLINE RESPONSIBILITIES Navigate and operate QuickBooks Online independently Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable entries Set up or clean up chart of accounts, categories, and tags Export and organize financial reports as needed REQUIRED SKILLS 2–4 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Experience with bank reconciliation and transaction categorization Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Good written English communication skills Ability to work independently and deliver within agreed timelines PREFERRED SKILLS Experience supporting small business owners remotely Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable workflows Prior experience with one-time cleanup or catch-up bookkeeping projects
