RPA Developer for Hotel PMS Integration

We're building a guest self-check-in web app for a mid-size resort that needs to read from and write to a legacy hotel PMS — IDS FortuneNext— which has no usable API for the fields we need. We need an RPA developer to build a set of automation flows that bridge our app and IDS via UI-level automation. Scope: ~10 discrete RPA flows (spec attached), including: - Multi-step reservation search in IDS (by reference, or by source+date fallback) - Reading auto-assigned room numbers and pushing them to our app - Writing guest/companion profile data, ID details, and consent flags back into IDS - Reading new walk-in reservations and syncing them to our app - A confirmed-merge write-back flow (only writes to IDS after human approval) - Reading OTA/sales/booking confirmation emails and normalizing them into structured data - Bulk reservation creation from an Excel guest list (for group/wedding bookings) — POC/feasibility stage - A daily VIP/HWC report Excel sheet builder pulling fields from IDS Full technical spec attached (flow-by-flow: trigger, inputs, steps, outputs, exception handling). Requirements: - Proven experience automating legacy/desktop hotel PMS or similarly "API-less" enterprise software (IDS, Opera, Protel, or similar counts — we care about legacy desktop UI automation experience, not hotel-specific experience) - UiPath OR Power Automate Desktop — tell us which you'd recommend for this scope and why, we're open to either - Experience with Orchestrator/queue-based triggering (flows are triggered by our app via API/webhook, not manually run) - Comfortable working against a remote/VPN test environment we'll provide - Can propose realistic exception handling (reservation not found, ambiguous match, session timeout, IDS locked by another user, etc.) Deliverables: - Working flows for the phased list in the attached spec (we'll start with the first 4 flows as a paid pilot before committing to the full scope) - Basic documentation per flow (what it does, how to reconfigure selectors if IDS's UI changes) - Exception/retry logic per flow, not just happy-path automation Please include in your proposal: 1. Your experience with legacy desktop/PMS-style RPA specifically (not just API integrations) 2. Which tool you'd recommend (UiPath vs Power Automate Desktop) for a 3-4 robot deployment at this volume, and a one-line reason why 3. A rough time estimate for just the first 2 flows (room-read + write-back) as a paid trial 4.
