Real estate script writer and instructional designer for continuing education

Target Audience: Licensed New York Real Estate Professionals Project Overview: A modern, tech-forward, luxury-tier continuing education platform launching for New York real estate agents. We are entirely rethinking real estate education by replacing boring, dated text walls with highly produced, engaging, video-first content (think MasterClass for Realtors). We are seeking a specialized, local scriptwriter or instructional designer to draft completely custom, legally accurate, and highly engaging video scripts for our mandatory New York State Continuing Education (CE) curriculum. Scope of Work: You will be responsible for translating dense New York State Department of State (NYSDOS) compliance topics into conversational, television-ready video scripts. Courses to be scripted include:Fair Housing & Discrimination (3.0 Hours) Law of Agency (1.0 - 2.0 Hours) Ethical Business Practices / NAR Code of Ethics (2.5 Hours) Implicit Bias & Cultural Competency (4.0 Hours total) Recent Legal Matters in New York (1.0 Hour) Deliverables & Formatting Requirements: Two-Column AV Format: All scripts must be formatted with on-screen visual prompts/slide cues Infuse scripts with real-world New York case studies (e.g., NYC co-op board nuances, downstate market scenarios, NYS disclosure laws). Candidate Qualifications: Must have a strong background in New York real estate law, legal writing, or real estate education. (Ideal candidates: Real estate attorneys, paralegals, compliance officers, or veteran NY Managing Brokers with a gift for writing). Tone Match: Ability to write in a sleek, premium, professional, yet highly engaging and accessible tone. Avoid dry, academic textbook language.Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with NYSDOS Division of Licensing Services requirements and Article 12-A is highly preferred.
