# Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) – Fintech Startup Consultant (US) We're an early-stage startup building an innovative financial platform for the U.S. market and are looking for an experienced **Registered Investment Advisor (RIA)** to advise our team. We need someone who understands the U.S. investment advisory industry and can help us build a compliant, customer-focused product from the ground up. **Responsibilities** * Advise on SEC and state RIA regulatory requirements * Review our business model and identify compliance considerations * Provide guidance on investment advisory services and client onboarding * Recommend best practices for disclosures, suitability, fiduciary obligations, and compliance workflows * Help evaluate licensing, registration, and operational requirements * Review product features from a regulatory and investor protection perspective * Answer strategic questions as we develop and launch the platform **Preferred Experience** * Active or former U.S. Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) or senior leader at an RIA firm * Experience with SEC and/or state investment adviser regulations * Background in wealth management, digital investing, robo-advisors, or fintech * Experience advising startups is a strong plus * Ability to communicate complex regulatory topics in practical business terms **Project Scope** This will begin as a consulting engagement with flexible hours. If there's a strong fit, we're open to a long-term advisory relationship as we continue building and scaling the platform.
