Summary

A New England Electrician/Electrical Contractor is looking for a reliable remote assistant to help with customer communication and basic office support for a busy electrical contractor. The main purpose of this role is simple: help make sure customers are responded to, followed up with, and taken care of in a professional and timely way. This person will help monitor incoming calls, texts, and emails; respond to customer questions using approved wording; collect basic job details; follow up with customers when more information is needed; and help keep the owner/team organized. This is a customer-facing support role, so clear English, good judgment, patience, and a professional phone presence are very important. The right person should be calm, polite, organized, and comfortable communicating with homeowners, property managers, vendors, and team members. Daily responsibilities may include: Answering or returning customer calls during business hours Responding to customer texts and emails Collecting basic information about service requests Asking customers for photos, addresses, contact information, availability, and job details when needed Forwarding important information to the owner or field team Following up with customers so nothing falls through the cracks Helping document customer requests in the company’s system Keeping communication organized and easy for the team to review Experience with Jobber or similar field-service software is a plus, but not required. We are more concerned with finding someone dependable, organized, and willing to learn. Over time, this role may grow into additional office support such as scheduling assistance, permit preparation, material pricing requests, vendor follow-up, and other back-office tasks. The ideal candidate: Speaks and writes clear, professional English Can work during Eastern Time business hours Is comfortable making and receiving phone calls Can follow instructions and use approved scripts/templates Has strong attention to detail Does not overpromise to customers Knows when to escalate questions to the owner or field team Can stay organized without constant supervision Has experience with contractors, home service businesses, dispatching, customer service, or admin support Preferred availability is Monday through Friday during normal Eastern Time business hours. Exact schedule can be discussed with the right candidate. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to become a trusted support person for a small, established electrical contractor.
