Remote Project Manager – Mandarin Chinese | Part-Time | Long-Term

About the Opportunity: We are looking for a Project Manager with strong Mandarin Chinese proficiency to support an international client with ongoing projects and stakeholder coordination. This is a part-time, long-term freelance opportunity for a professional who is organized, reliable, proactive, and comfortable working with international stakeholders. Mandarin Chinese proficiency is an essential requirement for this role, as the position involves communication and coordination with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. The role is fully remote and focuses on managing project activities, coordinating communication, following up on deliverables, and helping ensure projects progress smoothly. The position may also involve occasional international meetings and project-related travel when specifically required by the needs of an assignment. Responsibilities: * Coordinate projects and ongoing project activities from planning through execution. * Track project tasks, timelines, milestones, priorities, and deliverables. * Communicate and coordinate with international stakeholders. * Communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders when required. * Follow up on deadlines, action items, and outstanding tasks. * Coordinate virtual and international project meetings when required. * Maintain clear project documentation, reports, and status updates. * Help identify project issues, risks, and dependencies. * Coordinate with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders when required. * Keep stakeholders aligned on priorities, responsibilities, timelines, and deadlines. * Support communication and coordination across different teams, countries, and time zones. * Take ownership of assigned project activities and follow them through to completion. * Support international project activities and meetings when required. * Participate in occasional international meetings or project-related travel when required by the specific assignment. Main Requirements: Project Management: * Previous experience in Project Management, Project Coordination, Operations, or a related role. * Good organizational and time-management skills. * Ability to manage tasks, priorities, and deadlines. * Strong communication and follow-up skills. * Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities. Mandarin Chinese Proficiency: * Strong professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required. * Comfortable communicating professionally in Mandarin, both verbally and in writing. * Ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders. * Strong cross-cultural communication skills. English: * Good professional English communication skills are required for working with international stakeholders. Nice to Have: The following would be an advantage but are not strict requirements: * Experience managing international or cross-border projects. * Experience working with teams across different countries or time zones. * Experience coordinating vendors or external stakeholders. * Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, or related industries. * Experience working with Mandarin-speaking business stakeholders. * Experience working in a fully remote international environment. * Availability to participate in occasional international meetings. * Availability for occasional project-related international travel when required.
