PR Representative Needed to Secure Financial News and Television Appearances

Clopton Capital is seeking an experienced public relations professional or financial-media publicist to secure television, podcast, digital media, and news appearances for our company and its leadership. Clopton Capital is a national commercial real estate finance company specializing in commercial mortgages, property insurance, acquisition advisory, construction bidding services, and business capital solutions. Our objective is to establish our leadership as trusted expert sources on commercial real estate finance, lending markets, interest rates, banking, business capital, property insurance, and broader economic trends. Target Media We are primarily interested in appearances and expert commentary opportunities with outlets such as: CNBC Bloomberg Television and Radio Fox Business Yahoo Finance Cheddar Reuters The Wall Street Journal Barron’s MarketWatch Commercial Observer Bisnow National and regional business-news programs Established financial, real estate, and business podcasts This role is focused on earned media. We are not looking for paid placements disguised as editorial coverage. Responsibilities The selected professional will: Develop a clear media positioning strategy for Clopton Capital and its leadership. Identify timely financial and commercial real estate topics on which we can provide expert commentary. Create compelling media pitches tied to breaking news, interest-rate changes, lending conditions, banking developments, commercial real estate trends, and economic data. Pitch producers, bookers, journalists, editors, and podcast hosts. Secure television interviews, remote news appearances, podcast interviews, article quotes, contributed commentary, and other credible media opportunities. Prepare spokesperson briefing documents, talking points, interview themes, and anticipated questions. Help refine our executive biography, media kit, expert-source positioning, and press materials. Maintain an organized media-outreach and opportunity pipeline. Provide regular reporting covering pitches sent, responses, active conversations, confirmed appearances, and upcoming opportunities. Required Experience Applicants should have: Demonstrated experience in financial services, commercial real estate, banking, economics, investment, or business media relations. Existing relationships with journalists, television producers, segment bookers, editors, or podcast hosts. A track record of securing legitimate earned-media coverage or guest appearances. Strong understanding of the financial news cycle and how to convert current developments into timely media pitches. Excellent written communication and executive-positioning skills. The ability to move quickly when breaking news creates a media opportunity.
