Research UK Education Data Sources for New Schools Website Overview I'm building a new website called Trafford Schools, which aims to become the definitive online guide to schools in Trafford, Greater Manchester. Before building the database, I need someone to research all publicly available education data and identify the best sources. This is not a data entry project. I'm looking for someone who can analyse what's available and recommend the best way to structure a long-term database. If this project goes well, there will be a larger follow-up project to build and maintain the database. Your Task Research all major sources of information about Trafford schools, including: Department for Education (GIAS) Compare School Performance Ofsted Trafford Council Individual school websites For each source, identify: What data is available How it can be accessed (download, API, website, etc.) How often it is updated Whether it can be automated Any limitations or gaps Deliverables Please provide an Excel workbook containing: 1. Data Source Inventory For each dataset include: Dataset name Publisher URL Update frequency Download available? API available? Suitable for automation? Notes 2. Database Recommendations Recommend: Which datasets should become the core database Which unique identifier should be used (e.g. URN) Which data requires manual collection Any opportunities for automation 3. Missing Data Identify important information that is not available from official sources and would need to be researched manually.
