Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Squadly Location: Remote (must be available to work primarily during Australian business hours) Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time Reporting to: Founder / Sales Director ABOUT SQUADLY Squadly is an operations platform built for service businesses with field teams, helping facility management, commercial cleaning, residential cleaning, property maintenance, building services, and other field service companies streamline scheduling, workforce management, quoting, invoicing, compliance, job tracking, and team communication. We're replacing multiple disconnected tools with a single platform that helps service businesses operate more efficiently, improve visibility, and scale with confidence. THE OPPORTUNITY We're looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate qualified sales opportunities for our Account Executive team. This role goes beyond simply booking meetings. You'll be responsible for identifying potential customers, engaging decision-makers, conducting Qualification & Assessment Calls, understanding business challenges, qualifying opportunities, and ensuring our Account Executives spend their time with prospects who are a strong fit for Squadly. You'll work directly with business owners, founders, managing directors, operations managers, and leadership teams across facility management, commercial cleaning, property maintenance, building services, and field service industries. This is a highly visible role with a direct impact on pipeline growth and company revenue. WHAT YOU'LL DO Prospecting & Outreach • Conduct outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels • Research target accounts and identify key decision-makers • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of potential opportunities • Execute outbound campaigns and follow-up sequences Qualification & Assessment • Conduct Qualification & Assessment Calls with prospects • Understand operational workflows, current systems, and business challenges • Identify pain points and opportunities where Squadly can deliver value • Assess business fit, urgency, buying process, and decision-making structure • Qualify opportunities before introducing prospects to an Account Executive • A qualified opportunity typically includes a clear operational challenge, alignment with Squadly's ideal customer profile, engagement from relevant decision-makers, and a genuine interest in exploring solutions Opportunity Creation • Schedule and coordinate product demonstrations with qualified prospects • Create detailed handover notes for Account Executives • Ensure prospects are properly prepared for demos and next steps • Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking • Work closely with Account Executives to ensure a smooth transition from Qualification & Assessment through product demonstration and proposal stages Collaboration & Process Improvement • Work closely with Account Executives and leadership teams • Contribute ideas to improve messaging, targeting, and outreach effectiveness • Share market feedback and prospect insights • Help refine qualification criteria and sales processes WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Essential • Experience in SDR, appointment setting, business development, telemarketing, lead generation, or outbound sales roles • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • Ability to engage confidently with business owners and decision-makers • Excellent verbal and written English communication • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Self-motivated and capable of working independently • Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools Highly Desirable • Experience in B2B SaaS sales environments • Experience conducting Qualification & Assessment Calls and opportunity qualification • Familiarity with outbound prospecting methodologies • Exposure to facility management, commercial cleaning, property maintenance, trades, or field service industries IDEAL CANDIDATE • Enjoy starting conversations with new people • Are naturally curious and ask thoughtful questions • Enjoy understanding how businesses operate • Are resilient and comfortable handling rejection • Take ownership of your results and continuously seek improvement • Enjoy working in a performance-driven environment • Want to build a long-term career in SaaS sales SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE • Qualified opportunities created • Qualification & Assessment Calls completed • Product demonstrations booked • Qualified demo attendance rates • Pipeline value generated • Opportunity-to-close conversion rates • Revenue influenced WHAT YOU'LL GET • Competitive compensation • Uncapped performance incentives • Bonuses tied to qualified opportunities and revenue outcomes • Flexible remote working arrangements • Direct access to leadership • Ongoing coaching and development • Clear career progression into Account Executive and senior sales roles • High-performing SDRs will have opportunities to progress into Account Executive and other revenue-generating roles as Squadly continues to grow • The opportunity to help shape Squadly's sales organisation as we grow HOW TO APPLY Please submit: • Resume (PDF) • A 60–90 second introduction video • Details of your sales, SDR, appointment-setting, or business development achievements • Any performance metrics, call recordings, references, or examples that demonstrate your ability to generate qualified opportunities Please include the words 'Squadly SDR' in the subject line of your application.
