Summary

Based on the "Enrollment Cliff" - a significant decline in the population of high school graduates due to fewer babies being born in the great recession - colleges are about to experience a significant drop in students. While every college performs advertising and marketing, all will now need to improve these efforts and few are doing it well. Based on years of research and piloting, we've perfected a different approach that's proving to be far more effective and works across the entire funnel - and for the long haul - representing a permanent shift in strategy. We are now looking to pair with a seasoned sales pro with extensive higher education sales experience to take this approach national, targeting both community and 4-year colleges. Since colleges are often public, much of the procurement is handled via public RFP's/bids. Will this will be part of the work, the main focus will be to target administration and leadership by selling this shift as a strategic investment. Typical sales will be around $50k at the low end for consultative/diagnostic work, but the core focus is on running full-funnel, multi-year advertising and marketing programs with budget from $500k-$2.5M/yr The right person will: - have extensive higher education selling experience with leadership - have a deep understanding of college marketing and enrollment, as well as those problems - have proven experience generating intrigue and setting pitch appointments - have proven experience developing contracts and closing After initial setup, pitches will be handled jointly with internal staff. Compensation for this role is mainly commissioned based but is negotiable as far as draw or hourly rates.
