Scriptwriter Wanted — Long-Term Opportunity for a 2D Documentary YouTube Channel
Worldwide
We’re building a serious project — and we’re looking for a writer who approaches their craft the same way. This is a long-term collaboration for a YouTube channel focused on documentary-style, narrative-driven content. It’s not a fit for generalists or casual writers. We’re looking for someone who truly understands storytelling at a structural level and knows how audiences engage with content on YouTube. Our Approach We don’t rely on exaggeration or artificial drama. The strength of our content comes from the facts and how they’re presented. Our editorial style is defined by: Strong narrative structure with clear progression and impactful openings Stories grounded in real events and verified context — no sensationalism Scripts designed for voice-over: natural, fluid, and precise Emphasis on human decisions, cause and effect, and real consequences A commitment to clarity, realism, and disciplined storytelling Reference Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ChatHistory Take the time to study it. If you immediately recognize the structure and feel confident you could match that level — continue reading. Your Role Write well-researched, engaging scripts for documentary-style videos Develop openings that capture attention within the first 30–60 seconds Structure each script with clear narrative intent: setup → escalation → payoff Deliver polished, publication-ready scripts consistently Adapt closely to the tone, pacing, and style of the channel Ideal Candidate Proven experience writing YouTube scripts (documentary, true crime, history, or investigative content) Strong understanding of pacing, tension, and narrative flow Clear, controlled writing style — focused on precision over flair Familiarity with YouTube monetization policies and content guidelines Ability to replicate a reference style with consistency Reliable delivery without the need for constant oversight Project Details Script length: 15–20 minutes per video Language: English (native-level proficiency required) Frequency: 1–2 scripts per week (ongoing) Budget: $30–$70 per script NO IA allowed.
