Scriptwriter for AI Documentary YouTube Channel (Ongoing / Recurring Work)

We run a YouTube channel in the AI documentary niche — long-form, narrated videos that break down AI technology and recent AI events in a way that's accurate, fast-moving, and genuinely entertaining to watch. We're looking for a scriptwriter to join us on an ongoing basis and write scripts that hold attention from the first line to the last. This is recurring work. If you're good, there's a steady pipeline and room to take on more. What you'll be writing Every script will: Be a documentary on AI technology or a recent AI event Be accurate, well-researched, and fact-checked Stay on topic and tell the full story without filler Follow our existing script structure (we give you a full style guide + example scripts) Scripts are typically around 1,900–2,000 words. You'll usually be handed the topic, working titles, and reference articles/videos to research from. Sometimes you'll research a topic from scratch and verify the data yourself. The style — read this part carefully Our scripts follow a precise structure, and we need someone who can actually execute it, not just write "good content." Specifically: 1. Strong hooks 2. Tight sentence craft — most sentences run 1–4 lines, and nearly every sentence connects to the next using transition words (and, but, however, but even though, and just like, and since…), without repeating the same opener two sentences in a row 3. Clear topic transitions, marked as you go Every stat, survey, or claim sourced with a link (added as a comment in the doc) 4. Relevant YouTube/Reddit comments and clips dropped in with exact timestamps and source links to keep it from feeling bland A conversational, human read — it has to sound natural out loud, not robotic or AI-generated You're a fit if you: Write fluent, natural English with clean grammar and punctuation Can research and fact-check independently and actually care about accuracy Have a genuine interest in (or solid grasp of) AI and tech Can follow a detailed style guide closely instead of doing your own thing Work in Google Docs and can communicate over Discord Can deliver a complete script within 96 hours of starting one Bonus: you already use Claude or ChatGPT to speed up research (we encourage it for research — not for writing the script for you) How it works We send you a topic + titles + reference material (or ask you to research it yourself) You write the script in Google Docs, fully sourced and formatted to our guide You send it over, we review and leave comments, you revise Once it hits the bar, it goes to production — and we send you the next one
