# YouTube Scriptwriter (Health & Fitness) | Long-Term Opportunity We're looking for an exceptional YouTube scriptwriter to join our team and become the primary writer for the **Petra Genco** YouTube channel. Petra has over **900,000 subscribers**, and our mission is to help women over 40 lose weight, improve their health, and regain confidence through evidence-based nutrition and fitness advice. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who genuinely understands YouTube—not someone who simply writes articles. ## What you'll be writing Our videos cover topics including: * Weight loss after 40 * Menopause * Belly fat * Nutrition * Protein * Exercise * Walking * Metabolism * Healthy habits Scripts are typically 2,000–3,000 words and are designed to maximise viewer retention while remaining scientifically accurate and easy to understand. ## What we're looking for Ideally, you have: * Experience writing for successful YouTube channels (100k+ subscribers preferred) * Experience in the health, fitness, nutrition, or educational niche * A strong understanding of viewer retention and YouTube storytelling * Excellent research skills with the ability to simplify scientific information * Native or near-native English * The ability to match an existing writing style rather than completely rewriting our brand voice We're looking for someone who understands concepts like: * Strong hooks * Curiosity gaps * Pattern interrupts * Re-hooks throughout the script * Clear, conversational writing * Scripts that feel engaging rather than educational lectures ## What success looks like The ideal candidate will eventually take ownership of scriptwriting for the channel while working closely with our team on: * Video angles * Titles * Hooks * Retention improvements * Overall content strategy We're looking for someone who wants to grow with the channel over the long term. ## To apply Please include: 1.
