Seeking Financial Analysts/Investment Analysts for a Paid Research Study

We are recruiting 4-5 financial analysts/investment analyst and related finance professionals to participate in a paid remote research study conducted by researchers at the University of Minnesota. The purpose of this study is to understand how finance professionals use agentic AI assistants alongside their professional financial analysis tools during their normal research, modeling, and decision-making workflows. --- What you'll do You will fill out a short survey (5–10 minutes), join an onboarding session (15–30 minutes), participate in the AI-interaction sessions (two 1-hour sessions), be interviewed for around 1 hour, and finish the final survey. For the two one-hour remote interaction sessions, you will: * Work on a task that you would naturally perform as part of your professional practice. * Use your professional financial analysis tools (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal, FactSet, LSEG Workspace, S&P Capital IQ Pro, PitchBook, Preqin, Power BI, Tableau, or similar). * Use an AI tool to assist your work. * Share and record your screen while completing the task within 1 hour. * Answer questions about your workflow after the session. We are interested in how professionals work and collaborate with AI to complete their professional work, not in evaluating your financial recommendations, investment decisions, or analytical performance. --- Task Requirements Please choose a task that: * Can be meaningfully worked on within approximately one hour. * Requires professional financial analysis expertise and judgment. * Uses professional financial analysis tools throughout the session. * Is representative of your normal workflow. --- Examples include: * Building or refining a financial model * Conducting company or industry analysis * Performing equity valuation analysis * Comparing companies using financial metrics * Analyzing investment opportunities * Preparing investment research summaries * Conducting due diligence analysis * Performing scenario or sensitivity analysis * Creating financial dashboards or visualizations * Reviewing market trends and financial performance * Preparing financial reports or presentations * Other realistic financial analysis tasks --- Requirements * Professional experience in a finance-related role (e.g., Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, Equity Research Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Corporate Finance Analyst, or similar). * Regular use of professional financial analysis tools or platforms. * Experience with financial modeling, valuation, investment analysis, reporting, or related workflows. * Comfortable participating in a remote screen-recorded session. * Able to work on a non-confidential, anonymized, or publicly available financial analysis task that can be screen-recorded. * Reliable internet connection and microphone. * Fluent in English --- Study Details * Format: Remote (video call with screen sharing) * Compensation: Base pay is $75, with an additional $25 bonus after completing the full study and sharing all requested study materials (e.g., task inputs and outputs). --- Example Outputs Your task may produce outputs such as: * Financial models * Valuation analyses * Investment research summaries * Company comparison reports * Market analysis reports * Financial dashboards * Investment presentations * Due diligence reports * Scenario analysis results * Other professional financial deliverables --- If you're interested, please include the following in your proposal: 1.
