Seeking ER doctor or ER nurse to comment on a story about a suicide in an ER.
Worldwide
We are seeking an ER doctor to comment on a story we are writing for our website. www.hospitalwatchdog.org The story concerns a suicidal patient who was put on a legal hold. An order was written for line-of-sight observation. The patient took sheets from his bed, walked to a bathroom, and hung himself on the bar next to the toilet. He was seen by nursing staff who did not intervene. He locked the bathroom door and committed suicide. If you read other stories on our website you can see that we nail down the facts. I don't have access to the chart. I only have access to the lawsuit. I don't feel I have the right focus on the story and would like to discuss the case with an ER doctor before revising the story.
