Summary

The basics Role: Senior Account Manager (client relationships and account growth) Reports to: Founder Location: Remote (UK-based or UK working hours) Hours: Full-time Works alongside: Delivery and QA lead, web, design, SEO, content, and paid media specialists About Pulse Digital Health Pulse Digital Health is a UK marketing agency built for one sector only: private healthcare. We work exclusively with clinics, consultants, surgeons, and hospital units, many of them Harley Street and other premium practices across oncology, audiology, gynaecology, surgery, dermatology, and more. We are not a generalist agency that happens to take healthcare clients. Everything we do is shaped around the realities of marketing regulated medical services in the UK. We combine technical SEO, web design and development, clinician-reviewed content, Google Business Profile optimisation, and paid media with genuine, working knowledge of UK healthcare advertising compliance: ASA and CAP, MHRA, CQC, and GMC. Our clients trust us because we understand their world. We protect their reputation, we keep them compliant, and we deliver work that holds up to the standards a senior clinician expects. That positioning is our edge, and the person in this role helps us protect and grow it. The role This is the person who owns our client relationships. As we grow, the founder cannot be in every client conversation, and our delivery team needs to stay focused on producing excellent work. This role sits in between. You are the steady point of contact each client comes to, the person who understands what every practice is trying to achieve, and the one who turns that understanding into clear direction for the team. You are commercially minded and genuinely good with people. You can sit across from a consultant or clinic director, ask the right questions, and leave the call with a clear picture of what success looks like for them. You then make sure the work we deliver moves them towards it. You are not expected to execute SEO, build websites, or run ad campaigns yourself. You are expected to understand what we deliver well enough to represent it credibly, spot where a client needs more, and keep everything running smoothly. What you will do Own ongoing relationships across a portfolio of private healthcare clients, becoming the trusted point of contact each practice relies on. Run regular strategy and review calls. Understand each client's commercial goals, patient acquisition targets, and priorities, then translate these into clear briefs for the delivery team. Manage the flow of work through ClickUp. Set and communicate priorities so the delivery and QA team always know what matters most and when. Handle questions, updates, and scope conversations between project cycles, keeping clients informed and reassured. Identify opportunities to grow accounts, for example adding paid media to an SEO engagement, or layering in Google Business Profile and schema work. Present these in a consultative, helpful way, never a pushy one. Manage timelines and expectations, and pre-empt issues before they become problems. Own client satisfaction and retention. Make every practice feel genuinely looked after. Support the new business pipeline by qualifying and nurturing warmer prospects, working alongside the founder, who leads the first discovery call with new enquiries. Represent Pulse with the polish and credibility our premium positioning demands. What we are looking for Experience in account management, client services, or client-facing project management, ideally within a marketing, digital, or creative agency. A background or strong working knowledge in healthcare, medical, wellness, or another regulated or professional services sector. You should be comfortable talking to senior, clinically trained people. Excellent spoken and written English. You are the voice of a premium agency to senior clinicians, so a high standard here is essential. Confidence running client calls. You ask sharp questions, listen well, and turn conversations into clear, actionable plans. A commercial instinct. You can see where a client would benefit from more, and you know how to raise it naturally. Strong organisation. You can hold several accounts and deadlines in your head at once without dropping detail. A working understanding of UK healthcare advertising compliance (ASA and CAP, MHRA, GMC, CQC), or a real appetite to learn it quickly. We will teach you what you do not already know, but you must care about getting it right. Comfort with digital tools. We run on ClickUp, Slack, Fathom, and Google Workspace. Nice to have Familiarity with SEO, paid media, web design, or content marketing concepts. You do not need to deliver these, but understanding them helps you have better client conversations. Direct experience working with consultants, private clinics, or Harley Street practices. An understanding of E-E-A-T and why it matters so much for healthcare websites. How we work We are a small, senior, specialist team, and we like it that way. Work is founder-led and systematised through a library of in-house playbooks and tools, so the same high standard runs through everything we produce. We have a few house rules that matter to us: UK English throughout, a premium and restrained tone in everything client-facing, and a genuine commitment to compliance. If that sounds like your kind of standard, you will fit in well. Why join This is a chance to take real ownership of client relationships inside an agency that is carving out a clear leadership position in UK private healthcare marketing. You will work with respected consultants and clinics, your judgment will carry weight, and you will have direct influence on how the agency grows. If you want to be one client services voice among dozens at a large generalist agency, this is not the role. If you want to be the client relationship owner at a focused, ambitious, specialist firm, it is.
