Senior Adobe Captivate Developer Needed – Build eLearning Courses (Section 508, SCORM, Interactive)

Senior Adobe Captivate eLearning Developer Needed We are seeking an experienced Adobe Captivate eLearning Developer to build professional, interactive online training courses. We need an expert Adobe Captivate developer who can transform our completed PowerPoint presentations into polished, production-ready eLearning modules that meet all USDA technical, accessibility, and Learning Management System (LMS) requirements. We will need the first course completed by August 12 with the ACR report. These courses MUST be built entirely in Adobe Captivate. This project will begin with one paid pilot course. Upon successful completion of the pilot, the developer will be awarded the remaining two courses, for a total of approximately three courses. Technical Requirements The completed courses must comply with the following requirements: SCORM 1.2 compliant Compatible with our Learning Management System (LMS) Proper course completion tracking Reliable bookmarking and resume functionality Cross-browser compatibility LMS testing prior to delivery Fully editable Adobe Captivate source files (.cptx) Section 508 Accessibility (Required) This project requires extensive Section 508 accessibility compliance. The selected developer must have proven experience creating Adobe Captivate courses that successfully pass formal Section 508 compliance testing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Accessible keyboard navigation Screen reader compatibility Proper reading order Alternative (Alt) text Focus management Accessible interactive elements Accessible quizzes and assessments Color contrast compliance WCAG compliance Closed captions (when applicable) Accessibility testing Remediation of all accessibility issues Experience producing courses that successfully pass formal Section 508 compliance testing is required. Upon delivery of each course, the developer must provide an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) and VPAT-related documentation, where applicable. Interactive Learning The courses must include engaging, interactive learning elements throughout each course, including, but not limited to: Click-to-reveal interactions Tabs Accordions Timelines Hotspots Pop-up information panels Expandable graphics Interactive diagrams Scenario-based interactions Animated learning sequences Financial calculators using HTML/JavaScript (when required) Knowledge checks throughout the course We want these courses to feel modern, engaging, and highly interactive—not like a narrated PowerPoint presentation. Course Navigation Build professional course navigation that includes: Table of Contents Progress indicators Next/Previous navigation Course completion tracking Bookmarking (when appropriate) Menu navigation Exit and resume functionality Assessments Build all required assessments, including: Knowledge checks Quiz interactions Feedback layers Completion logic Scoring (when applicable) Audio Synchronization When narration is provided, the developer will be responsible for: Synchronizing audio with animations Timing object appearances Creating smooth transitions Ensuring professional pacing throughout the course Deliverables For each completed course, the developer must provide: Adobe Captivate source files (.cptx) SCORM 1.2 package Published HTML5 output All custom assets All JavaScript and HTML files used Fonts (if licensed and permitted for transfer) Documentation for any custom interactions or scripts Accessibility-ready course Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) and VPAT-related documentation (where applicable) Final packaged course ready for LMS upload Important This is not an instructional design project. We will provide the completed PowerPoint presentations, scripts, graphics, course objectives, speaker notes, knowledge checks, and all course content. Your responsibility is to professionally develop the courses in Adobe Captivate, ensuring they meet all technical, accessibility, and LMS requirements while creating an engaging, polished learning experience.
