You understand that successful procurement is more than obtaining the lowest price—it involves purchasing the correct materials, ensuring specification compliance, managing lead times, protecting cash flow, and maintaining complete project documentation. ## Application Questions Please answer the following: 1. Describe the largest structural-steel or concrete-material package you have managed. 2. What was the approximate material value, and what were your responsibilities? 3. How do you protect a contractor from steel-price escalation and expiring supplier quotations? 4. What experience do you have with joint-check agreements? 5. Have you supported MBE/DBE-certified firms or commercially useful function documentation? 6. Which steel, rebar, or concrete suppliers have you worked with? 7. Are you available during Eastern Time business hours and for occasional meetings in New York City if required? 8. Please provide a redacted example of a procurement log, bid-leveling sheet, or material purchasing plan you developed. **Please do not apply if your experience is limited to retail, software, office supplies, or general corporate purchasing. Direct experience in construction-material procurement is required.**
