Senior Credit & Risk Advisor

This role will provide independent oversight of the company's enterprise risk framework, lending policies, and portfolio governance. The advisor will ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices, enhancing risk management capabilities and decision-making processes. Responsibilities Design enterprise credit risk frameworks. Develop lending policies and underwriting standards. Review portfolio performance and recommend risk appetite adjustments. Advise on structured lending facilities and warehouse lines. Assist in preparing materials for banking partners and investment committees. Review operational, credit, fraud, liquidity, and concentration risks. Develop risk dashboards and portfolio reporting. Support due diligence with banks, DFIs, and institutional investors. Review compliance with international governance standards. Mentor local credit and risk personnel. Preferred Experience 10+ years in banking, commercial lending, or structured finance. Former Risk Manager, Head of Credit, Chief Risk Officer, or Senior Credit Officer. Experience with banks, DFIs, export credit agencies, or international financial institutions. Experience with consumer lending, payroll lending, SME finance, or digital lending. Knowledge of IFRS 9, Basel II/III, enterprise risk management, and credit portfolio management. Experience working in Africa or emerging markets is highly desirable.
