Senior Electrical Engineer – AC Power Systems & High-Voltage Measurement

We are developing an advanced electrical monitoring and safety product for mobile 120/240 VAC split-phase power systems. The hardware is substantially complete. We need a senior electrical engineer to review the existing design, identify risks, recommend improvements, and help our engineering team bring the product through final testing and production readiness. IMPORTANT — DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU CAN PROVIDE SPECIFIC EXAMPLES OF SIMILAR WORK Your application must include examples of products or systems you have personally designed or reviewed that interface directly with 120/240 VAC mains power. General electrical engineering experience is not sufficient. Applications without relevant examples will not be considered. Scope of Work Review the existing schematics, hardware architecture, and PCB design, with specific attention to: * 120/240 VAC split-phase mains interface design * Line, Neutral, and Equipment Ground behavior * Ground-fault and leakage-current paths * Neutral-ground bonding and its effect on measurements * Isolation barriers, creepage, and clearance * High-voltage sensing and measurement accuracy * Injection of low-level test signals onto mains conductors * Surge, EFT, ESD, and lightning protection * Fault analysis and abnormal operating conditions * UL, NEC, IEC, EMC, and product-safety requirements Ideal Background We are looking for an expert with experience in one or more of these areas: * AC power systems or power electronics * Power-quality or ground-fault monitoring * Protective relays or industrial control equipment * High-voltage measurement and isolation * UL-listed or IEC-certified mains-powered products * Electrical distribution and safety systems Experience with mobile, marine, off-grid, vehicle-based, or portable power systems is helpful.
