Senior Finance Operator in Ireland

We are a well-capitalized B2B fintech in stealth, building settlement infrastructure for institutional clients. Our group has an Irish holding company and a US operating subsidiary, and we are entering our launch phase. We run lean and AI-native: automation handles the commodity work, people handle judgment and execution. We are looking for a qualified, senior finance operator in Ireland who loves doing the work, not just reviewing it. You will be our first finance resource, working directly with the CFO and founders. How this works We will start with paid project work so we can learn to work together. If this is a good match, there is the opportunity for a long-term engagement (10-20h/week). Being resident in Ireland is a hard requirement. Applications from outside Ireland will not be considered. Initial projects Set up our accounting software and finance tools stack from scratch Accounting catch-up for the Irish and US entities (backlog bookkeeping, clean records ready for close) Testing ahead of platform launch, including reconciliation between our ledger and bank accounts Ongoing scope (if successful) Bookkeeping, payment operations under dual control (maker-checker), daily reconciliation, AP and expense management, tax filings coordination, company secretarial support, and intercompany/transfer pricing support, across both the US and EU entities. You Based in Ireland (required) Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), ideally practice or Big 4 trained Controller or head-of-finance level experience: you have owned a month-end close, multi-entity or group structures a plus (we span Ireland and the US) Strong reconciliation and payment operations fundamentals; fintech, payments, or banking exposure a plus Hands-on by choice, not by necessity: you do the bookkeeping, build the workflows, and chase things down yourself rather than delegating Power user of finance software, quick to adopt new tools, genuine interest in AI-driven automation High ownership and comfortable working directly with the CFO in a lean, fast-moving setup Rate: $20 to $50 per hour depending on experience.
