Senior Financial Risk Consultant to Design & Institutionalise a Best-Practice Risk Mgmt Function

I am seeking an exceptional banking risk professional to support the design and institutionalisation of a best-practice Risk Management Function within a financial institution. This is not a routine consulting assignment. I am looking for a seasoned practitioner with deep experience across credit risk, enterprise risk management, regulatory capital, stress testing, model development, model validation, and risk governance frameworks. The ideal candidate should possess the technical depth of a quantitative risk specialist combined with the strategic perspective of a senior risk advisory consultant. The engagement will involve supporting the development and enhancement of risk methodologies, risk policies, model governance frameworks, risk measurement tools, and decision-support analytics aligned with leading international practices. Areas of relevance include IFRS 9, Basel requirements, ICAAP, stress testing, capital planning, credit risk modelling, model risk management, asset-liability management, liquidity risk, IRRBB, CCAR, and related risk disciplines. I am particularly interested in professionals who have advised banks, development finance institutions, regulated lenders, or other financial institutions and who can demonstrate experience establishing or strengthening risk management capabilities rather than merely operating existing frameworks.
