Senior Information Designer – Premium Digital Publication (Adobe InDesign)

Project Description I'm looking for an experienced information designer / publication designer to transform an existing workplace support guide from a PowerPoint-based document into a premium digital publication. This is not a content writing or redesign project. The framework, content and overall structure have already been carefully developed and refined. The objective is to elevate the experience of using the guide, making it feel intuitive, professional and effortless to navigate. Think professional digital publication, not PowerPoint. Background The current guide was intentionally developed in PowerPoint so the content and structure could evolve quickly. The content is now largely complete, but I feel the current PowerPoint format is beginning to limit the overall user experience. Navigation currently relies on basic hyperlinks and the document still feels like a presentation. I'd now like the guide recreated professionally in Adobe InDesign. The guide currently contains approximately 32 pages. This is an early-stage product that has not yet been commercialised. The Objective I'm looking for someone who can transform the experience of using the guide without changing the underlying content. The emphasis is on: • information design • navigation • usability • readability • visual hierarchy • consistency • interaction rather than introducing decorative graphics or redesigning the content. Areas I'd Like You to Improve Information Architecture Create a document that feels intuitive to navigate. I'd like users to move effortlessly between sections, using a professional navigation system rather than simple PowerPoint hyperlinks. Examples may include: • interactive menus • section navigation • home/back buttons • bookmarks • intuitive page hierarchy I'm open to recommendations. Publication Design The guide should feel like a premium digital publication. The experience should feel calm, considered and easy to use. Think: • product documentation • executive playbooks • premium knowledge resources rather than presentation slides. Messaging Library One feature I'd particularly like to explore is making the messaging templates easier to use in practice. Where practical, I'd like communication templates to be easy to copy and paste into emails or Microsoft Teams messages while preserving formatting and readability. I'm interested in your recommendations on how this could work most effectively. Branding Initial brand guidelines will be provided. The brand is still relatively early in its development, so while I'd like the overall tone to remain calm, premium and understated, I'm open to thoughtful recommendations if alternative typography or publication styling would improve the finished product.
