Senior Power BI/Sage Intacct Developer

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence developer to build a best-in-class business intelligence solution. The role involves integrating Power BI with Sage Intacct to enhance financial reporting and analytics. The successful candidate will become a long-term member of our extended team and will work directly with executive management to design dashboards that improve operational and financial decision making. This is not simply a reporting project. We are building an executive operating system that will become the primary management reporting platform for our company. Primary Systems Our data sources include: -Sage Intacct ERP (Primary) -Salesforce CRM -Microsoft Excel -Microsoft 365 -Additional operational systems over time Future integrations may include payroll, service management, fleet management and HR systems. Initial Project Scope. The initial engagement includes development of executive dashboards for: Executive Financial Dashboard: -Revenue -Gross Margin -EBITDA -Net Income -Cash -Accounts Receivable -DSO -Borrowing Base -Backlog -Working Capital -Monthly and Year-to-Date Performance -Branch Performance Dashboard Nine operating locations with drill-down capability including: -Revenue -Billings -Gross Margin -Labor Utilization -Revenue per Employee -Revenue per Technician -Accounts Receivable Aging -Top Customers -Billing Trends -Budget vs Actual -Construction Dashboard Including: -Work in Progress (WIP) -Percentage of Completion -Over/Under Billings -Job Profitability -Margin Fade -Change Orders -Cost to Complete -Project Status -Sales Dashboard Using Salesforce data: -Sales Pipeline -Proposal Activity -Win Rates -Backlog Generation -Sales by Market -Salesperson Performance -Executive Risk Dashboard Including: -Cash Flow -Liquidity -Debt Metrics -Covenant Monitoring -Collections -Customer Concentration -Workforce Metrics -Operational Risk Indicators -Technical Requirements Required experience: -Microsoft Power BI Desktop -Power BI Service -Advanced DAX -Power Query (M) -SQL -Data Modeling -ETL Processes -REST APIs -Power BI Gateway -Row Level Security Preferred experience: -Sage Intacct -Salesforce -Microsoft Fabric -Azure SQL -Data Warehouse Design -Business Experience Required We strongly prefer candidates with experience supporting one or more of the following industries: -Commercial Construction -Mechanical Contractors -HVAC Plumbing -Electrical Contractors -Industrial Contractors -Specialty Trade Contractors Understanding construction accounting concepts is a major advantage, including: -Percentage of Completion Accounting -Work in Progress (WIP) -Job Costing -Over/Under Billings -Retainage -Gross Margin Analysis -Construction Financial Statements -Deliverables The selected consultant will: -Design executive dashboards -Build reusable Power BI data models -Develop automated data extraction processes -Create scheduled refresh processes -Optimize dashboard performance -Document the solution -Recommend best practices -Assist with future dashboard development What Success Looks Like. We are not looking for someone who simply creates charts. We are looking for someone who can transform ERP and CRM data into meaningful executive information that helps management make better business decisions. The ideal candidate understands finance, operations, and executive reporting—not just Power BI.
