Senior Shopify E-Commerce Builder for Ready-to-Launch Brands – Long-Term Role

We are building a portfolio of premium, ready-to-launch e-commerce brands for the United States, United Kingdom and Australian markets. We are looking for an experienced Shopify developer who can turn a complete brand brief, product catalogue and supplier information into a polished, conversion-focused Shopify store. This is not a role for beginners, general virtual assistants or developers who only install themes and replace text. We need someone who understands premium e-commerce design, Shopify architecture, mobile user experience and conversion optimization. Your responsibilities • Build complete Shopify 2.0 stores from start to finish • Customize themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS and JavaScript • Create premium homepages, collection pages and product pages • Build reusable custom sections inside the Shopify editor • Upload and organize products, variants and collections • Configure navigation, filters, cart, checkout settings and essential apps • Connect approved supplier apps or product feeds • Optimize every page for mobile, tablet and desktop • Improve page speed, usability and conversion flow • Test all buttons, links, forms, pages and checkout processes • Follow our brand guidelines, SOPs and quality-control checklist • Prepare each store for a clean transfer to the final owner • Identify and solve problems without constant supervision Our team will provide the positioning, branding direction, products, supplier information and project brief. You will be responsible for executing the complete Shopify store at a professional standard. Required experience You must have: • At least three years of professional Shopify experience • A portfolio of live Shopify stores that you personally built • Strong Shopify Liquid, HTML and CSS knowledge • Experience creating custom Shopify sections • Excellent responsive design skills • A strong understanding of conversion-rate optimization • Experience working with Shopify 2.0 themes • The ability to work from Figma, brand guidelines or reference websites • Strong attention to typography, spacing, hierarchy and visual consistency • Professional written English • Reliable communication and deadline management • The ability to work independently inside a structured production system Experience with premium beauty, skincare, fashion, pet care, home or lifestyle brands is preferred. Quality expectations Every store must look like a legitimate premium brand. We will not accept: • Generic dropshipping designs • Unedited theme templates • Poor mobile layouts • Inconsistent typography or spacing • Low-quality product images • Placeholder content • Broken links or unfinished pages • Excessive use of unnecessary Shopify apps • Copied designs without thoughtful execution • Work completed by an undisclosed subcontractor You must personally complete the work. Subcontracting is not permitted without written approval. Paid test project The first assignment will be a paid test project. The test will include: • One Shopify homepage • One product-page template • Custom theme sections • Mobile optimization • Basic speed optimization • One revision round The test will be evaluated on: • Visual quality • Mobile execution • Code quality • Attention to detail • Communication • Speed • Ability to follow instructions • Number of corrections required Passing the test does not depend on completing the work as quickly as possible.
