Senior Truck Dispatch Trainer & Academy Director (Flatbed / Conestoga / Owner-Operator Operations) Long-Term Remote Contract | Build & Lead Dispatcher Training Program We are seeking a highly experienced U.S. trucking professional to build and lead an internal dispatcher training academy for a growing transportation company. This is NOT a typical dispatcher position. We are looking for someone who can train, mentor, evaluate, and develop dispatchers into high-performing fleet revenue managers capable of supporting owner-operators and company drivers. The ideal candidate has real-world experience dispatching Flatbed, Conestoga, Dry Van, and Owner-Operator operations in the United States and understands how top-performing dispatch departments consistently keep trucks loaded, profitable, and moving. --- What You'll Be Responsible For Develop and deliver a structured dispatcher training academy Create SOPs, training manuals, workflows, and operational playbooks Train new dispatchers on: Load planning Broker negotiation Revenue management Deadhead reduction Reload planning HOS planning Owner-operator support Customer service Broker relationship development Evaluate dispatcher performance Conduct role-playing and dispatch simulations Create dispatcher scorecards and KPI tracking Build repeatable systems that can scale across multiple dispatchers Help establish a culture focused on truck utilization, profitability, and exceptional service --- Required Experience You MUST have experience in several of the following areas: U.S. Truck Dispatching Flatbed Dispatching Conestoga Dispatching Dry Van Dispatching Owner-Operator Operations Fleet Management Broker Relationship Development Load Planning DAT One Truckstop RMIS Highway Carrier411 Amazon Relay HOS Planning Dispatch Team Leadership Dispatcher Training SOP Development --- Strongly Preferred We are especially interested in candidates who have: Worked for high-performing U.S. trucking carriers Managed multiple dispatchers Built dispatch departments Developed dispatcher training programs Created operational manuals Built broker networks outside of load boards Managed fleets of 10+ trucks Experience with Flatbed and Conestoga freight --- What Success Looks Like We are not looking for dispatchers who simply book loads. We are looking for someone who understands how to: Keep trucks moving continuously Build long-term broker relationships Reduce empty miles Increase weekly truck revenue Improve owner-operator retention Develop dispatchers into fleet revenue managers --- Application Instructions To be considered, please provide: 1.
